Sigrid Kaag begins UN role as Gaza humanitarian coordinator

NEW YORK — On Tuesday, the UN announced that Sigrid Kaag began her role as a Chief Humanitarian Coordinator for Gaza, overseeing relief shipments and creating a UN mechanism for faster aid delivery, as per Security Council Resolution 2720/2023. اضافة اعلان

She will meet with the UN Secretary-General in New York on Monday before heading to Washington for pre-travel meetings, to start her duties in Amman, before moving to Egypt, and then eventually to Gaza, Amad reported.
