BEIRUT – On Friday, Hezbollah Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, reiterated that retaliation “inevitably coming” in light of the assassination of Hamas leader Saleh Al-Arouri in the southern suburb of Beirut. He mentioned that the Hezbollah’s fighters on the border will be the ones who will respond.

In a televised speech during a memorial ceremony,
Nasrallah said that Israel’s assassination of Al-Arouri was “major and dangerous violation.” Adding, “This will certainly not be without response or punishment.”
“All of Lebanon will be exposed if the group does not respond to the assassination of Saleh Al-Arouri.” He continued, “Hezbollah’s current operations on the southern border provide a historic opportunity for Lebanon to liberate its lands occupied by Israel, and that the Islamic resistance in Iraq has a historic opportunity to get rid of its presence.”
Nasrallah mentioned, "When the targeting is in Lebanon and in the southern suburbs, we cannot accept this equation," adding, "We will not use the phrase in the right place and at the right time. The decision is in the field, the field will respond, the field will not wait, and the response will inevitably come."
After greeting the Hezbollah’s fighters on the border, coming from all regions of Lebanon, he explained that these fighters "are the ones who will respond to the dangerous breach of the suburb."
