Jordan and Egypt Discuss Strengthening Military and Security Cooperation
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, met on Sunday at the Egyptian Ministry of Defense headquarters with General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, as well as Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces.اضافة اعلان

Major General Al-Hunaiti was received with a formal military ceremony, during which he reviewed the honor guard lined up in his welcome.

The meeting focused on ways to strengthen joint military and security cooperation, within the framework of the strategic and historical relations between the two brotherly countries, aiming to align visions and aspirations in light of regional and international developments.

The two sides discussed a number of topics of mutual interest, with an emphasis on sharing expertise, conducting joint training, and enhancing coordination in various military fields to support security and stability in the region.

Major General Al-Hunaiti expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s efforts in supporting and enhancing Arab military cooperation, voicing his aspiration to continue working towards deeper integration between the Jordanian and Egyptian armed forces, in service of the shared interests of both nations.

For his part, General Saqr praised the strong relations between the political and military leaderships of both countries, commending the Jordanian Armed Forces for their pivotal role in maintaining regional security and their ongoing humanitarian efforts. He also emphasized the deep fraternal ties between the Egyptian and Jordanian peoples.

The meeting was attended by several senior military commanders and officers from both armies, as well as the Jordanian military attaché in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
