The Israeli military stated on Wednesday that forces from three military divisions, including infantry, armored, and engineering units, are conducting operations inside southern Lebanon.

According to the military, "Division 91 forces are operating in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon, Division 210 forces are operating in the Shebaa Farms area, and Division 146 forces" are operating in the western sector of the south.
A video released by the military showed tanks in areas of southern Lebanon, along with soldiers carrying backpacks and sleeping mats.
Israel and the United States have been conducting airstrikes on Iran since Saturday, which resulted in the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Since then, Tehran has retaliated by striking Israel and regional countries with missiles and drones.
Iran has also implemented a naval blockade on vessel transit through the Strait of Hormuz, targeting oil tankers attempting to cross. On Sunday, Hezbollah launched several rockets from Lebanon targeting northern Israel in response to Khamenei’s assassination, dragging Lebanon into an open war with Israel, which has carried out devastating raids on southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut.
