According to several residents, it was impossible to enter or exit the camp throughout the extended operation, Haaretz reported.

The IOF said that two reserve soldiers were moderately and lightly wounded from an explosive device blast during the operation and that another soldier was seriously wounded from a blast in a separate operation in the nearby village of Sir.

An IOF source said this was the longest operation in Nur Al-Shams since the start of the war, and that during the operation 11 suspects were arrested and taken for further questioning. The source also said that several Palestinians were wounded in exchanges of fire with soldiers during the operation.
In the past months, the IOF's activity in Nur Al-Shams has increased, with the camp becoming a main focus of interest for the Israeli security forces in the West Bank since the start of the war. The IOF carried out arrests, weapon seizures, and drone strikes in the camp, according to the paper.

Last week, six Palestinians were killed in a drone strike in the camp, and the week before, five more were killed, including four in this type of aerial strike. The use of strike drones has become more common over the past year during raids on refugee camps in the West Bank and increased even more since the start of the war.

The Health Ministry in Ramallah announced that a 29-year-old man was killed Wednesday night from Israeli army fire in the town of Tamun in the northern West Bank. The Palestinian Health Ministry later identified him as Usayd Bani Odeh.
