Speaking at a press conference, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei described the United States as the world’s biggest security threat due to its reliance on raw power. He cited U.S. actions against countries like Venezuela and Cuba, as well as blocking African nations such as South Africa from participating in international summits, according to the Iranian Mehr News Agency.

Baghaei also criticized U.S. support for Israel, calling Washington a “partner” in its crimes, and argued that the UN Security Council should consider this a violation of international peace and security.

Regarding regional tensions, Baghaei stressed that the Israeli occupation remains the region’s foremost threat, noting that Israel frequently breaches ceasefire agreements. On Lebanon, he highlighted that Israeli violations have led to the deaths of numerous civilians and emphasized Iran’s support for Lebanon’s right to self-defense while rejecting foreign interference in its internal affairs.
