GAZA —
Communications services have partially resumed in Gaza after a limited amount of
fuel entered the region, as the siege enters its 43rd day. In separate
statements on Friday evening, Palestinian telecom companies, Palestine
Communications and Jawwal, announced a partial return of communication and
internet services to various areas in Gaza, after disruptions on Thursday.

The
services, including fixed and mobile communications as well as internet, depend
on the regular supply of fuel provided by United Nations Relief and Works
Agency (UNRWA) to operate the main generators. The sustainability of these
services relies on the consistent supply of sufficient fuel in the coming
period, Hala News reported.
