For the tenth consecutive day on Tuesday, settlers continued to besiege several homes in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army, in an attempt to seize them and impose a new reality on the ground in the area.

Settlers have spread throughout the area and are moving about freely. On Monday, a homeowner who holds U.S. citizenship was able to reach his home after returning from the United States, accompanied by an American delegation.
The siege began on Sunday, August 9, 2026, when a group of settlers set up a temporary tent near homes in Qusra, which residents say has prevented supplies from entering the area.
The besieged families are living under constant pressure. The United Nations confirmed that around 15 Palestinians, including two children, remain trapped inside the homes and face severe difficulties meeting their basic needs due to cutoffs of water and electricity.
The families have launched an urgent appeal to international and humanitarian organizations to intervene and break the siege, amid continuous settler attacks in the area spanning over four months and ongoing attempts to establish a settlement outpost there.
Occupation forces raided the town and attempted to force the besieged families to temporarily evacuate their homes under the pretext of troop deployment. However, family members refused to leave the area and relocated to a third house, fearing that relinquishing control of the homes would pave the way for their permanent seizure.
Reactions have escalated following the settlers' blockade of the homes, during which they blocked access roads with stones, set up a tent nearby, prohibited family members from entering, exiting, or receiving visitors, and cut off water and electricity.
Meanwhile, the United States is pressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to condemn the settlers' siege on the homes.
