Araghchi: ‘Project Freedom’ in the Strait of Hormuz is a ‘Dead End’
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that "Project Freedom" represents a "dead end," referring to the ongoing operation in the Strait of Hormuz. Araghchi added that the events unfolding in the strait confirm that there is no military solution to a political crisis.اضافة اعلان

The "Project Freedom" operation, announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, was launched on Monday with the stated goal of assisting stranded vessels in the Strait of Hormuz to exit safely. President Trump noted that countries from around the world—most of whom are not involved in the Middle East conflict—have requested U.S. assistance in freeing their ships, describing these nations as "neutral parties."

In response, a senior Iranian official warned on Monday that Tehran would view any American attempt to intervene in the Strait of Hormuz as a violation of the ceasefire. This follows President Trump's announcement of the mission to escort vessels through the strategic waterway.

Ebrahim Azizi, Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, declared on the "X" platform that "any American interference in the new maritime order of the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of the ceasefire."
