In a statement issued Sunday on the occasion of the International Day of Peace, observed annually on September 21, Al-Yamahi stressed the need to intensify efforts to achieve a ceasefire, renounce violence, and establish peace in the Arab region. He emphasized that such peace will not be realized without ending the Israeli occupation of all Arab territories, establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, holding Israel accountable for the genocide committed against the Palestinian people, and ensuring international protection for them. He underscored that the Palestinian cause is the cornerstone for achieving security, stability, and peace in the region and the world.

Al-Yamahi further stated that the international system responsible for maintaining peace and security requires greater efforts and genuine reform to fulfill its intended mission. He reiterated the Arab Parliament’s full support for all Arab, regional, and international efforts aimed at promoting a culture of peace, upholding the values of tolerance, dialogue, citizenship, and acceptance of others, and rejecting all forms of violence, hatred, and extremism.
