Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, condemned the Israeli attack on Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, which killed 20 Palestinians, including five journalists, a doctor, and several civil defense members.

In a post on X on Monday, Albanese described the incident as a “massacre,” urging the international community to take immediate action by halting arms deals with Israel and imposing strict sanctions. She stressed that “the horrific scenes in Gaza are repeated daily, often away from the public eye.”
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health and the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, the bombing targeted the fourth floor of the medical complex, and was repeated when ambulance and rescue teams arrived, which increased the number of casualties.
The attack comes as part of Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza since October 7, 2023, which has left more than 220,000 dead and wounded, the majority women and children, along with thousands missing and hundreds of thousands displaced, amid accusations of genocide against Israel.
