Tally Gotliv, a lawyer and a Knesset member from the Likud party, posted several messages on the platform "X", formerly "Twitter", calling for "violent revenge" following the Hamas attack, Sky News Arabia reported.

Gotliv wrote: "Jericho missile! Jericho missile! Strategic alert. Before thinking about deploying forces. Doomsday weapon! This is my opinion", referring to nuclear weapons.

She added in another post: "I urge you to do everything and use the doomsday weapons fearlessly against our enemies", adding that Israel "must use everything in its arsenal".

Her calls continued on Tuesday, where she wrote: "Only one explosion that shakes the Middle East will restore dignity, strength, and security to this country!".

She stated: "It is time for Doomsday. Launch powerful missiles without limits. Leave no neighborhood standing. Crush Gaza and flatten it. No mercy! No mercy!"

Gotliv has been a vocal critic of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the government.

Last September, she accused the Israeli army and the Shin Bet (Israeli security agency) of working for the benefit of Palestinian prisoners, according to the "Jerusalem Post" newspaper.

After being condemned by the Israeli government for her "inflammatory" speech, she doubled down on her stance and justified the legislators' criticisms of the army.
