Jordan will be affected on Sunday by a cold and moist air mass associated with a low-pressure system centered over the island of Cyprus. As a result, temperatures will drop noticeably, with cold conditions prevailing and skies ranging from partly cloudy to cloudy at times across most regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
Rain is expected to fall intermittently in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom, sometimes becoming heavy during the morning hours in the north. Limited areas in the eastern and southwestern regions may experience light rain showers, while winds will be active and westerly.
During the night, the weather will become colder, with a continued chance of light rainfall in limited parts of northern and central Jordan.
The Meteorological Department warned of reduced horizontal visibility due to fog and low clouds touching the ground, especially over mountainous areas, as well as the possibility of reduced visibility caused by dust in desert regions.
On Monday, the weather is expected to stabilize relatively, with relatively cold conditions in most areas and partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy skies, particularly in northern Jordan. There remains a slight chance of light rain during the morning hours in the north and center of the Kingdom. Meanwhile, conditions will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be moderate westerlies, occasionally becoming active, while cold conditions will prevail overnight across most areas.
On Tuesday, temperatures are forecast to rise noticeably, bringing sunny and mild weather across most regions, and warmer conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be light southeasterlies, while relatively cold conditions will return during nighttime hours in most areas.
