Minister of Youth Joins Jerash Youth in Celebrating International Youth Day

Minister of Youth Dr. Raed Sami Al-Adwan today (Wednesday) participated in the celebration organized by the Jerash Youth Directorate on the occasion of International Youth Day at the Jerash Youth Hostel.اضافة اعلان
The event was attended by Jerash Governor Malek Al-Khraissat, Chairman of the Jerash Greater Municipality Committee Mohammad Bani Yassin, the Minister’s Adviser Bassam Al-Khalayleh, Director of Institutional Support at the Ministry Saif Ajaj, Director of National Guidance and Initiatives Walaa Al-Atoum, Director of Youth Guidance and Empowerment Jihad Musaedah, Procurement Director Osama Al-Akayleh, Acting Director of Infrastructure and Facilities Eng. Diaa Al-Majali, and Director of Youth in Jerash Abdul Elah Al-Mashaqbeh.
The event brought together around 150 young men and women from youth centers across the governorate.
Dr. Al-Adwan emphasized that Jordanian youth receive royal attention and support, with the leadership placing young people among the country’s national priorities, based on the belief that youth are essential partners in the nation’s development and progress.
He noted that youth are a key pillar of the political, economic, and administrative modernization tracks and play a leading role in developing the National Youth Strategy 2026–2030, through youth sessions held across all governorates and national consultations conducted with various sectors.
Al-Adwan added that the Ministry of Youth is committed to implementing training programs at youth centers that respond to young people’s needs and interests, while providing spaces that enable them to develop their skills and strengthen their participation in public life.
The celebration also featured a speech by youth representative Mohammad Fayyad, who said the occasion carries a message to the world that young people’s voices must be heard and their potential invested in.
He highlighted the achievements of Jordanian youth in innovation, entrepreneurship, and volunteer work, as well as their representation of Jordan at international events.
The event also included presentations of inspiring youth stories. Obada Al-Sahleh presented his recycling project, “Give Us, We Give Back,” while a group of young participants in an English-language program for job seekers shared their experiences and the impact and skills they gained through the program.
The winners of gold and bronze medals in the Taekwondo program were also honored, followed by a musical performance by the Juthoor Al-Asala Band.
The Jordanian youth community also marked International Youth Day at youth directorates and centers across the Kingdom through a wide range of youth, scouting, and sporting activities, with broad participation from young people.
