Dusty conditions are expected at times due to active winds stirring up dust, particularly in desert areas, along with chances of scattered rain showers toward the end of the week.
According to the department, temperatures on Wednesday will rise slightly. The weather will be mild in most regions and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Medium- and high-altitude clouds will appear, especially in the eastern parts of the Kingdom. Winds will be moderate southeasterlies, occasionally becoming active and raising dust, particularly in desert areas.
At night, dusty and cold conditions will prevail in most regions, while it will be relatively cold in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Medium- and high-level clouds will appear, with moderate northeasterly winds that may become active at times.
The Meteorological Department warned on Wednesday of the risk of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in many areas, which may drop to near zero on desert roads. There is also a possibility of frost forming during the early morning hours over high mountain peaks and parts of the desert. People with respiratory conditions are advised to take the necessary precautions.
On Thursday, conditions will generally remain dusty, with mild temperatures in most regions and warm weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Medium- and high-altitude clouds will appear, and winds will be moderate northeasterlies shifting to northwesterlies by midday.
During the night, conditions will remain generally dusty and cold with some clouds, while moderate northwesterly winds may become active at times.
The department also warned of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in many areas, with occasional near-zero visibility on desert roads.
On Friday, the weather will be mild in most regions and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with some medium- and high-level clouds. Moderate easterly winds will occasionally become active, stirring dust, especially in desert areas.
During the night, clouds will gradually increase at various altitudes, making conditions partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with expected scattered rain showers, particularly in the southern parts of the Kingdom. Winds will be moderate southeasterlies that may become active at times and raise dust.
The Meteorological Department also warned of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust, especially in desert regions.
On Saturday, temperatures will rise slightly again amid unstable weather conditions. The weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with expected rain showers in different parts of the Kingdom. Winds will be active southeasterly to southwesterly, stirring dust, especially in desert areas.
At night, the weather will be relatively cold and partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with intermittent rain showers expected in the western parts of the Kingdom and limited areas in the east. Winds will be active southwesterlies.
