Boxing hopes fall on Ishaish brothers as Kesbah, Hindawi defeated

AMMAN — Jordanian boxers Ubada Al-Kesbah and Udai Al-Hindawi were knocked out of Tokyo Olympics on Sunday after losing in their respective weight classes.اضافة اعلان

Kesbah lost 0–5 to Belarus’ Dmitry Asanov in the 63kg group. Asanov previously won the bronze medal at 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and ranked sixth globally.

Hindawi lost 2–3 to Croatia's Luka Plantic in the 81kg group. 

Now, Jordan’s hope for a medal rests with the brothers Ziad and Hussein Ishaish, who are set to box Tuesday morning in the 69kg and 91kg weight classes, respectively.
