Jordanian national para table tennis player Faten Aleimat advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Asian Para Games in Nagoya on Monday after defeating Japan’s Miya Miyazaki 3–2, coming back from a two-game deficit.

Aleimat won the next three games 11–8, 12–10 and 11–6 after losing the opening two games 6–11 and 7–11, securing an exciting victory and a place in the last eight.
The Jordanian player demonstrated her ability to regain momentum and handle match pressure, despite Miyazaki’s higher position in the world rankings.
Aleimat will face a Thai player in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. Nagoya time.
