National boxers have strong start to world championship

AMMAN — National boxing team players, Ziyad Ishaish and Udai Hindawi, started strong at the World Boxing Championship currently being held in Belgrade.  اضافة اعلان

Boxer Ziyad Ishaish successfully landed an important and historic victory over Cuban boxer, Roniel Iglesias, in the under 71kg weight class.
Roniel Iglesias is one of the world’s leading boxers. He has won gold at the 2012 London Olympics.

Ishaish began his fight against Iglesias, causing the latter to suffer a forehead injury, which brought the match to an end after only one minute and 5 seconds had passed of the first round, making Ishaish the winner. Udai Hindawi was able to beat Herzone Sabat, in the under 86kg weight class.

Some 511 boxers, representing 87 countries and competing in 13 weight classes are taking part in the championship, which is the largest in its history.
