Workshop highlights food security proposals in Irbid

AMMAN — Experts at an Irbid workshop on Wednesday highlighted the importance of farming produce of high economic added value, and the need to reconsider legislation on the use of farmlands. اضافة اعلان

The workshop organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), in coordination with the Irbid Agricultural Directorate, stressed the need to continue supporting refugees, create a comprehensive agricultural database and the use of state-of-the-art irrigation technology.

Attendees also stressed the need for a short- and long-term crisis management plan for the sector to enhance food security.
