AMMAN — Sunday marked the beginning of the seventh edition
of the Youth Ministry’s “Maharati” Program, organized in cooperation with
UNICEF and Generations for Peace. The six-day event will host thirty young
people aged 19-24 at the Sahel Horan Youth Center in Irbid.
In a statement
carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, head of the Sahel Horan Youth Center,
Walaa Qazan, said that initiative seeks to help the youth hone their skills,
develop their talents and provide them with key day-to-day knowhow. According
to Maharati coach Ahmad Salamat, the program’s curriculum will cover life
skills, financial literacy and social innovation.
