Palestinian medical sources announced on Saturday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 62,622, the majority of them children and women, since the Israeli occupation aggression began on October 7, 2023.

The sources added that the number of injuries has increased to 157,673 since the start of the aggression, while many victims remain trapped under rubble, unreachable by ambulance and civil defense teams.
Over the past 24 hours, 61 bodies and 308 injured people were admitted to hospitals in Gaza. Since March 18, following the Israeli breach of the ceasefire agreement, a total of 10,778 deaths and 45,632 injuries have been recorded.
Of those admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours, 16 were dead and 111 were injured, bringing the total of those who sought medical help for basic living conditions to 2,076 deaths and 15,308 injuries.
Gaza hospitals also recorded eight deaths in the past 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition, raising the total to 281, including 114 children.
