Tourist and archaeological sites in Ajloun governorate welcomed 27 tour buses today, Friday, as part of the "Our Jordan Is Paradise" program, part of ongoing efforts to boost domestic tourism and introduce visitors to the tourism and natural assets the governorate has to offer.

The visits covered a number of tourist sites, projects, and cabins scattered across the governorate, giving participants a chance to see Ajloun's lush green nature, archaeological sites, and rural tourism products, in an atmosphere that reflected the importance of domestic tourism in supporting local communities and boosting economic activity.
Dr. Ahmad Al-Rifai, director of the "Our Jordan Is Paradise" program and spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, affirmed that the program continues carrying out trips to various governorates, contributing to boosting domestic tourism and supporting tourism projects and local communities, noting that Ajloun governorate receives significant attention given its diverse natural, environmental, archaeological, and tourism assets.
Al-Rifai noted that the growing number of tourist trips to Ajloun reflects the rising interest in domestic tourism, stressing the importance of partnership with tourism project owners, service providers, and members of local communities in developing the tourism experience and boosting its ability to attract visitors.
Head of the governorate council committee, Engineer Muawiya Anab, affirmed that Ajloun governorate possesses outstanding tourism and environmental assets that qualify it to be one of the Kingdom's leading tourist destinations, noting the importance of continuing tourism programs that help attract visitors and boost tourism and economic activity in the governorate.
He pointed to the importance of integrating efforts among various official and civil bodies and tourism project owners to develop Ajloun's tourism product and improve the quality of services offered to visitors, in a way that strengthens the governorate's ability to attract more tourist trips throughout the year.
For their part, a number of tourism project and cabin owners, Dr. Wurood Al-Khasawneh, Hamza Shwayat, and Wafa Zawaher, noted that the "Our Jordan Is Paradise" program represents an important opportunity to showcase local tourism projects, affirming that the rising number of trips and visitors directly benefits the economic activity of project owners, productive families, and tourism service providers.
They praised the efforts made to boost domestic tourism, calling for continued support for programs that connect visitors with tourist sites and local projects, in a way that helps create jobs and boost income for members of the local community.
They also stressed the importance of developing infrastructure and tourism services and promoting Ajloun's tourist sites and projects, in a way that keeps pace with growing demand for rural and eco-tourism, and strengthens the governorate's standing as an attractive tourist destination.
