Aqaba. The city of Aqaba opened its arms on Thursday and Friday to host an exceptional event marking a new chapter in social solidarity, as the "Peace Beach Charity Bazaar" launched as the first initiative of its kind at the Kingdom level, dedicated to showcasing products crafted with love and skill by the hands of people with disabilities, turning the event into a genuine platform for joy, income generation, and the embodiment of the highest ideals of social inclusion that national institutions have long pursued.

The significance of this bazaar lies in its going beyond the traditional model of care, moving instead toward a comprehensive concept of economic and social empowerment, giving this group the full opportunity to prove their capacity for giving and producing, and to affirm that disability has never been a barrier to creativity but rather a motivation to give one's best especially since the proceeds of this exceptional event are dedicated entirely to supporting people with disabilities and developing their skills, so they can become useful, active members within the fabric of their local community.
Ola Sa'abneh, head of the Peace Beach Association for the Empowerment of People with Disabilities, affirms that this bazaar represents a long-awaited dream that has today turned into tangible reality, reflecting an absolute belief in the abilities of our children. She notes: "At the Peace Beach Bazaar, we create real opportunities and build strong bridges of connection with the community, stemming from our firm belief that when empowerment becomes a tangible reality, the whole community becomes stronger and more cohesive, by everyone and for everyone and this is what we seek to establish as a sustainable approach."
The most joyful and inspiring scene at this month's edition of the bazaar is the notable and unprecedented increase in the number of participants with disabilities who have entered the experience as entrepreneurs and genuine producers a clear indicator reflecting the success of the initiative's deep message in planting the seeds of empowerment and inclusion, as the energy of these young men and women has turned into productive projects supplying the local market with artistic pieces, crafts, and handmade items that speak the language of will and challenge and break every stereotype.
Standing out among the participants is young Adam Bani Khaled, behind his table full of finely crafted handmade pieces, expressing great pride in taking part in an event that has given him space to express himself. He says his presence here is proof to himself and to the world that he is capable of production and innovation, affirming that the admiring looks in visitors' eyes give him enormous positive energy and push him to work more and develop his skills, so he can be an active contributor rather than merely a consumer.
Participant Faten Al-Kayyal recounts her story of overcoming hardship through her products, which reflect refined taste, explaining that this bazaar has provided her and her colleagues with a wide window of joy even before it is a window of financial income, adding that every piece she sells represents a small success story that boosts her self-confidence and makes her feel her true worth in this community, which has begun to accept and support their creativity with love and sincerity.
This remarkable success cannot be discussed without touching on the pivotal, supportive role families play in standing by their children, embodied by Umm Mu'taz wa Ziyada Al-Nawaysheh, mother of one of the participating persons with disabilities, who affirms that seeing her son engage with people and confidently sell his products is the dream she has long held, noting that this bazaar has lifted the burden of isolation off families' shoulders, providing their children with a safe, nurturing environment that naturally and joyfully integrates them into public life and grants them the independence they have long hoped for.
Recognizing that the success of any humanitarian and strategic initiative requires combined efforts and the mobilization of the community across all its components and segments, invitations were extended openly and clearly to all segments of the local community in Aqaba and the Kingdom at large, to come together and offer moral and material support to this group, who deserve all appreciation and respect for the living examples of patience and achievement they provide.
The doors of the "Peace Beach Bazaar" remain wide open to national institutions, private companies, project owners, families, and individuals, to be part of this humanitarian celebration through participation, support, and joint cooperation, based on a golden principle affirming that every contribution from visitors, however modest it may seem, can turn into a great opportunity benefiting a person with a disability or supporting an entire family and changing the course of its life for the better.
This event stands as an open message to every citizen, reminding them that every visit to the bazaar is real, direct support, and that when a visitor chooses to buy from one of the participants, they are supporting a person, honoring their determination, and boosting their self-confidence thereby contributing to building a cohesive Jordanian society that believes absolutely in the latent capabilities of its people, and grants everyone equal opportunities to live with dignity and joy under the banner of humanity and solidarity.
