Labor minister, JRA president collaborate to generate more jobs

AMMAN — Minister of Labor Nayef Steitieh, met with the President of the Jordan Restaurant Association (JRA), in the presence of the ministry’s Secretary-General Issam Fakhireldeen, to talk about possible cooperation between the two in terms of providing sustainable job opportunities in the tourist restaurant sector, a local news outlet reported. اضافة اعلان

This collaboration comes in light of increased demand for skilled and qualified labor in the private sector.

Steitieh said, in the meeting on August 16, that the tourism sector is one of the most important economic sectors that can provide sustainable job opportunities for the youth in the Kingdom.

He also mentioned that the Ministry of Labor, through the vocational training centers, sends qualified and trained workers to join local and regional workforces.

Stetieh also emphasized spreading awareness among the youth on the importance of the tourism sector and the benefits derived from its work. He stressed the importance of partnership between the ministry and its institutions with the private sector to find practical solutions associated with clear operational plans and performance indicators.
