The Council of Ministers, in its session held on Wednesday chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, approved a Memorandum of Understanding on feasibility studies for a green hydrogen project in Jordan between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and China United Energy Group, aimed at investing in green methanol production.

The MoU comes within the framework of intensifying national efforts to attract green hydrogen investments and to benefit from the incentives offered by the Kingdom in this field. The agreement is expected to contribute to creating an attractive investment environment, supporting the implementation of strategic clean energy projects, providing job opportunities, localizing industries, and strengthening Jordan’s position as a regional hub for sustainable energy.
