The Jordan Chamber of Industry affirmed that the past five years have witnessed a dynamic industrial movement toward innovation and green transformation, with the emergence of new national industries in the fields of energy and environmental technology. In a statement issued Wednesday, the Chamber announced the launch of a series of reports titled “National Industries on the Path of Innovation,” which aim to highlight pioneering models within Jordan’s industrial sector and their role in driving the transition toward a more sustainable and efficient economy.
The Chamber explained that the reports seek to showcase innovative Jordanian industrial experiences across various sectors, presenting national success stories that reflect the spirit of development and creativity in Jordanian industry.
It noted that the first report in the series will focus on the energy and sustainability sector, given its remarkable advancements in solar power, energy storage, and environmental efficiency — developments that reflect the innovative spirit embraced by Jordan’s industrial sector in this vital field.
According to the Chamber, Jordan’s national industry has made significant strides in clean energy through the development of local technologies that help reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency. Jordanian factories have successfully designed and implemented smart solar energy networks powered by advanced digital systems that enable precise monitoring and efficient energy distribution, helping many industrial facilities lower operational costs and increase reliance on clean energy sources.
The statement added that Jordanian industry has developed innovative Split Unit air-conditioning systems featuring high operational efficiency and easy maintenance. Moreover, the sector has entered a new phase in manufacturing and assembling solar energy storage batteries locally, providing sustainable electricity storage solutions and supporting renewable energy projects across the kingdom.
These innovations, the Chamber emphasized, are clear evidence of the growing sophistication of Jordan’s industrial technology and its ability to compete with imported products while meeting the needs of both local and regional markets.
In another area of industrial progress, the Chamber highlighted the role of Jordanian companies working in waste management and smart environmental solutions in promoting the concept of the circular economy by collecting, sorting, and processing various types of waste — including electronic and hazardous waste — and converting them into reusable materials.
These companies have also adopted advanced digital systems to track collection and transport operations and analyze environmental data, improving operational efficiency and expanding participation in local and international environmental initiatives, particularly those aimed at building clean and sustainable cities.
The Chamber stressed that these developments represent a qualitative leap in the trajectory of Jordan’s national industry, demonstrating the kingdom’s ability to develop innovative, high-tech industries that strengthen Jordan’s position as a regional center for sustainable energy and green technology.
This direction, it added, reflects Jordan’s commitment to achieving sustainable economic development and enhancing value-added national industries, in line with the Economic Modernization Vision 2033, which places innovation and technology at the core of future industrial growth.
The Chamber also noted that the industrial sector’s strong performance underscores its ability to boost economic growth and support trade balance, calling for continued support through incentive policies, facilitated access to productive investment financing, and greater integration among industry, energy, and mining to increase local value-added production. It further urged the expansion of export partnerships with regional and global markets and the modernization of industrial legislation to align with economic modernization goals and promote industrial innovation.
