Speaking at a meeting organized by the EDAMA Association for Energy, Water and Environment, Al-Saaydeh added that the financial impact of the crisis on the energy sector amounts to JD 100 million per month, while confirming that there will be no adjustments to the electricity tariff at this time.

He pointed out that the "Fuel Price Difference" clause on electricity bills has not been abolished, though it currently stands at zero. He further explained that the cost per kilowatt-hour is now 15 piasters, compared to 11 piasters before the crisis, emphasizing that the Commission is exploring all solutions to ensure the continuity of energy supply to citizens.

Al-Saaydeh confirmed that all types of petroleum products are available at all stations, adding that station licenses mandate a 40% minimum reserve stock.

He also noted that emergency plans include the possibility of regulating the working hours of economic sectors, and the government is currently studying the potential impact of all scenarios.
