The Chief Commissioner of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), Captain Haitham Misto (referred to as Captain Daifallah Al-Farajat in the text), confirmed on Monday that air navigation in Jordanian airspace and at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) is witnessing a noticeable recovery. This includes a gradual return of flight schedules for international and Arab airlines, with a steady growth in the number of flights compared to the onset of recent regional events.

Al-Farajat stated that several leading airlines have resumed operations to and from QAIA after a temporary suspension. Prominent among these are:
From the UAE: Air Arabia (from Abu Dhabi and Sharjah), Emirates, and Etihad Airways.
From Saudi Arabia: flynas.
From Egypt: Air Cairo and EgyptAir.
International Carriers: Ethiopian Airlines, Romania’s TAROM, and Oman Air.
National Carriers: Royal Jordanian, Jordan Aviation, Fly Jordan, and Arab Wings.
He pointed out that the data reflects this positive upward trend. Before the events began (on February 27, 2026), QAIA recorded approximately 220 flights daily. Currently, the daily average has reached about 130 flights.
Al-Farajat noted that the busiest day since the start of the events was March 27, with 170 flights, underscoring a steady and rapid recovery. Current operations now represent 59% of normal capacity.
Regarding airspace management, Captain Al-Farajat praised the pivotal role of the Commission’s air traffic management teams, stating: "Our personnel handle all aircraft transiting through the Kingdom’s airspace, as well as those landing and departing from our airports, 24/7 with complete professionalism. Work is carried out with extreme precision and high-level coordination with all relevant national agencies to ensure the highest standards of aviation safety and security."
He concluded by emphasizing that the Commission is closely monitoring regional developments, asserting that Jordanian airspace is managed according to international standards. He stressed that the high readiness of Jordanian staff is the true safeguard for the continued flow of air navigation, tourism, and trade through Jordan’s aerial gateway.
