U.S. Statement on Reports of Relocating Gaza Residents to Libya

The U.S. Embassy in Libya on Sunday denied reports suggesting there are American plans to relocate Gaza residents to Libya.

In a post on its official account on the social media platform X, the embassy stated:اضافة اعلان
“The report about alleged plans to relocate Gaza residents to Libya is completely false.”

The embassy also shared a post from NBC News on X, which read:
“The U.S. State Department and National Security Council did not respond to multiple requests for comment before this article was published.”

Following the article’s publication, an NBC News spokesperson said:
“These reports are inaccurate.”
He added:
“The situation on the ground makes such a plan unfeasible. No such plan has been discussed, and it is not a viable option.”
