Trump Tells Fox News: Talks with Iran are "Possible"
WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Fox News that talks with Iran remain a possibility, noting he has heard that Tehran "wants to talk very badly."اضافة اعلان

Speaking to the news network on Monday, Trump said the prospect of engaging with Iranian leaders is "possible, depends on the terms, just possible," adding, "If you think about it well, maybe we don’t need to talk anymore, but it remains possible."

On Iran’s New Leadership and Military Operations
During the same interview, Trump expressed his "dissatisfaction" with Iran’s selection of Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Ali Khamenei, as the country’s new Supreme Leader. "I don’t think he can live in peace," Trump remarked.

Regarding the military operation that commenced on February 28, Trump claimed that the results have been "much higher than expectations at this early stage." He highlighted that the U.S. has struck over 5,000 targets since the operation began, according to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) data.

Key Military Claims:
Missile Degradation: Trump stated that the initial strike destroyed 50% of Iran’s missiles, adding, "If we hadn't done that, the battle would have been much harder."

Element of Surprise: He credited the timing of the attack—occuring at an unexpected hour—as a major factor in its success.

Regional Retaliation: Trump expressed surprise at Iran’s response, noting, "One of the things that surprised me most is that they attacked countries that weren't attacking them."

Nuclear and Humanitarian Concerns
Trump mentioned that Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner informed him that Iran claims to possess enough enriched uranium to produce 11 nuclear bombs.

Addressing reports of a strike hitting a girls' school—where Iranian media and UNICEF reported between 165 and 180 deaths, mostly students—Trump noted that these figures have not been independently verified. He stated the incident is "still under investigation," adding that the United States is "not the only party that possesses that type of missile."
