Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday that Moscow believes the United States is significantly involved in Ukrainian attacks against Russia and that it has raised the issue with Washington.

Lavrov told state television that the support reportedly provided by the United States to Ukraine includes the provision of intelligence information.
“We submitted a series of questions to the U.S. State Department seeking comment, including on intelligence data and on much greater U.S. involvement in organizing and carrying out strikes inside Russian territory against civilian targets. We are awaiting a response,” Lavrov said.
No peace talks on Ukraine have taken place since February, when the United States entered the war with Iran and suspended its mediation efforts between Moscow and Kyiv.
Lavrov said Russian President Vladimir Putin had told U.S. President Donald Trump at a summit held a year ago that Moscow was prepared to support U.S. peace proposals.
According to Lavrov, Putin told Trump: “Donald, you sent us proposals, and I thought about them for a while. There are some things that require compromise. But I accept your proposals as you sent them to me.”
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied that any agreement had been reached at the summit, saying that if one had been reached, the war would have ended by now.
Lavrov said Putin is prepared to receive Trump’s envoys on Ukraine if they return to Russia. “The question is: What will they bring with them?” he said.
Lavrov also said Moscow would intensify efforts to destroy Western supplies destined for the Ukrainian military.
“We will make our methods much tougher in order to dismantle everything feeding Kyiv’s war machine coming from the West. We are already doing this,” Lavrov said.
In the fifth year of the war, Ukraine continues to receive military supplies from its Western allies, although it faces chronic shortages of certain equipment, particularly interceptor missiles for defense against Russian missile attacks.
