Trial of MP accused of smuggling weapons into West bank begins

AMMAN — The State Security Court, on Wednesday, September 20, held its first hearing in a weapon smuggling case, involving Member of the Lower House of Parliament Imad Al-Adwan and 13 others.اضافة اعلان

The court has granted and acknowledging the defense's request for additional time to consolidate their arguments. The subsequent hearing is now slated for Tuesday, September 26, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Edwan and his accomplices attempted to smuggle weapons and gold into the West Bank. He was arrested at the Allenby border crossing, Amman News reported.
