Over 46,000 students apply for Jordan bachelor’s programs

AMMAN – Over 46,000 students have submitted their applications for bachelor's degree programs to the Unified Admission Unit, as revealed by Muhannad Al-Khatib, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on Wednesday. An additional 6,046 students are seeking intermediate diplomas. Among them, 1,300 students eligible for university admission have chosen the intermediate diploma path.اضافة اعلان

Notably, 2,357 students have applied to Nusaybha and Rufaideh colleges, both under the Ministry of Health. He interpreted this number as significant due to the colleges offering sought-after specialties in the job market. He added that these students receive full scholarships and, upon completing their studies, join the Ministry, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

On August 16, Jordanians celebrated the passing of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination also known as Tawjihi, according to Minister of Education Wajih Owais, the number of students who sat for exams was 204,189, while the number of those who passed are 116,773.

Seats allocated for medicine programsFor the current academic year, allocations have been made for 640 seats in the medicine program, 160 seats in dentistry, 80 seats in the pharmacy doctorate program, and 456 seats in the pharmacy program.

Al-Khatib announced that the list of schools covered by the Royal Grant will be unveiled on Thursday, and the process of submitting admission applications will commence on Saturday.
