NCSC warns of using fake ‘WhatsApp Gold’ application

AMMAN — On Tuesday, the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) issued a warning regarding the proliferation of counterfeit iterations of the popular 'WhatsApp' application, notably the WhatsApp Gold version, across various social media platforms.اضافة اعلان

The center stated that many of these applications have been modified to contain malicious software that steals personal and financial data from infected devices. It further recommended avoiding such applications and instead downloading the original versions from trusted stores like Google Play and the Apple Store, Khaberni reported.
