The ministry stated in a Saturday release that the new cards are available in two main denominations: JD 20 and JD 50. They are provided to citizens without any additional fees or card purchase charges, meaning users pay only the actual value of the loaded balance.

The cards can be purchased directly from toll booths along the Al-Haraneh – Al-Omari road or by visiting the Road Assets Management Directorate at the ministry’s headquarters.

The new cards use advanced contactless payment technology, allowing travelers to complete payments quickly by simply passing the card over a designated device installed outside the booth. This eliminates the need for long stops or handling cash.

To provide diversified payment options, travelers can also use their personal bank cards, whether debit or local credit cards, without incurring any fees, while a 2.5% fee applies only when using foreign-issued bank cards.

The project management team encouraged citizens seeking more information to contact the project services at (062227581), reaffirming its commitment to providing the best services to ensure safe and smooth travel on external roads.
