Speaking to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Al-Tayyib said that among the most notable achievements—within the framework of strengthening partnerships with the public sector and implementing government decisions—was the activation of 110 postal service windows inside ministries and government institutions, in line with a directive by the Prime Minister. This step has helped facilitate citizens’ access to services and improve service efficiency, positioning Jordan Post as the executive arm of the government’s electronic services.
She explained that Jordan Post expanded its portfolio of government services by launching a service for renewing work permits for non-Jordanian migrant workers. Required documents can now be submitted through post offices across the Kingdom, while issued permits from labor directorates are delivered to clients, simplifying procedures and reducing the burden on applicants.
Al-Tayyib added that Jordan Post signed a cooperation agreement with the Civil Status and Passports Department to provide delivery services for electronic passports, describing the initiative as a national achievement that reflects institutional readiness and Jordan Post’s pivotal role in supporting government digital transformation projects.
Jordan Post has also strengthened its international partnerships through an agreement with global company Visa, enabling beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund to receive their entitlements via prepaid Visa cards. In addition, it launched a package of multi-currency cards (Jordanian dinar, US dollar, and euro) to facilitate payments for students and Jordanians working abroad without commissions or interest.
In the cultural field, Jordan Post organized the Arab Stamp Exhibition for the first time in the Kingdom in June 2025 at the National Library Department, with participation from nine Arab countries and a number of stamp collectors.
In the area of social empowerment and employment, Al-Tayyib noted the signing of a cooperation agreement between Jordan Post and the National Aid Fund in training and employment, as well as the establishment of the International Academy for E-Commerce and Logistics. The initiative trained 100 young men and women, funded by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in partnership with the Digital Skills Association, to prepare them for the labor market by equipping them with technical, digital, and commercial skills over a three-month period, with direct employment opportunities provided upon completion.
She also said that a memorandum of understanding was signed with UAE-based company Seven X, under which Jordan Post will be among the first companies to use the “Wasla” postal platform to support small and medium-sized enterprises and local startups in accessing the global e-commerce market.
At the international level, Al-Tayyib confirmed that Jordan achieved an important national milestone by winning membership on the Board of Directors of the Universal Postal Union, following a vote by 192 countries during the Union’s general meeting held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, reflecting Jordan’s advanced international standing.
In the same context, she pointed to the renewal of Jordan’s membership on the Board of Directors of the Euro-Mediterranean Postal Union for the 2026–2028 term, as well as a visit by the Director General of the Syrian Post to Jordan Post to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise.
Regarding strategic partnerships, Al-Tayyib said a joint cooperation agreement was signed between Jordan Post and Emirates Post Group to strengthen bilateral relations in the postal and logistics sectors, in addition to agreements with the Ministries of Youth, Digital Economy, and Foreign Affairs, a strategic agreement with Safwa Islamic Bank, and memoranda of understanding with companies specializing in e-commerce and logistics services.
