His Majesty's visit to the United Kingdom comes after a European tour that started last Monday, which included Austria, Poland and Germany, with the aim of strengthening cooperation mechanisms and addressing the latest regional and international developments.

During the visit, His Majesty held meetings with the British Prime Minister and senior officials, as well as with the Speaker of the British House of Commons, chairmen and members of committees in the British Parliament.

He also held another meeting with members of the Parliamentary Jordan Group at the British Parliament, as well as a meeting with a number of British officials and parliamentary, academic and intellectual figures.

His Majesty will meet World leaders in Glasgow as of Sunday for important climate talks that constitute the "last big opportunity" to control the climate, according to the organizers of the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26), organized by the United Nations.

The twenty-sixth session of the Conference of Parties in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will be held in Glasgow, where a “farm-to-fork-dialogue” will be held as a side event of the session.

The course aims to “bring together representatives of farming communities, cities, states and regions to create space for constructive dialogue on food and climate change, improve mutual understanding of others’ aspirations and circumstances, and build new links and partnerships.”

Efforts are also being made to issue a high-level declaration on the need for integrated food policies to address the climate emergency.
