King Abdullah II expressed appreciation for Japan’s support of development and economic projects in Jordan, emphasizing the Kingdom’s commitment to implementing its Economic Modernization Vision aimed at boosting growth and creating job opportunities. Regional issues were central to the talks, where His Majesty stressed the importance of upholding the Gaza ceasefire agreement and strengthening humanitarian response efforts, commending Japan’s supportive role. He also warned, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, of the dangers posed by attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank and violations affecting Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
