AMMAN — Member of the National Committee for Epidemiology Saied Ali Jaradat said on Sunday that the committee
recommended canceling PCR tests for Jordanians coming to the Kingdom, according
to Al-Mamlaka TV.
Jaradat said that the recommendation was issued 10 days
ago, and it is expected to be approved soon. The committee also recommended
publishing local coronavirus statistics on weekly basis, which will happen when
the epidemiological curve decreases.
“About 7.7 million people, or 48 percent of the target
group, took two doses of the vaccine,” said Jaradat, adding that 40 percent of
people infected with coronavirus do not show symptoms, and they are 50 percent
responsible for the spread of the virus.
