Jordanians coming to the Kingdom may not need PCR tests

AMMAN — Member of the National Committee for Epidemiology Saied Ali Jaradat said on Sunday that the committee recommended canceling PCR tests for Jordanians coming to the Kingdom, according to Al-Mamlaka TV. Jaradat said that the recommendation was issued 10 days ago, and it is expected to be approved soon. The committee also recommended publishing local coronavirus statistics on weekly basis, which will happen when the epidemiological curve decreases. “About 7.7 million people, or 48 percent of the target group, took two doses of the vaccine,” said Jaradat, adding that 40 percent of people infected with coronavirus do not show symptoms, and they are 50 percent responsible for the spread of the virus.
