Jordan records 23 new COVID-19 deaths, 15,107 new cases

AMMAN— Jordan recorded 15,107 new COVID-19 cases and 23 new deaths on Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 13,608 and the total number of cases to 1,541,379.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 6,622 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,365 cases. Irbid registered 1,886 cases, Balqa 1,154cases, Karak recorded 649 cases, Jerash recorded 411 cases, and Tafileh recorded 360 cases. Madaba registered 681cases, Aqaba 552, Ramtha 305, and Ajloun 361.

The ministry said in a statement that 205 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 199 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 196,165 according to the ministry. Out of 65,715 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday, 22.99 percent of them came back positive.
