Jordan is dispatching two medical and relief aid planes to Venezuela on Thursday after the country was struck by two earthquakes, according to Al-Mamlaka's correspondent.

The correspondent stated that the aid includes medical supplies, food items, and equipment for rescue teams currently in Venezuela to assist with search and rescue operations.
Last Friday, Jordan deployed specialized search and rescue teams along with medical personnel to Venezuela to contribute to international response efforts following the dual earthquakes that hit the country.
The Jordanian International Search and Rescue Team, affiliated with the Civil Defense, consists of 100 specialized and qualified personnel for search, rescue, and field support operations in affected areas. The team is equipped with the latest machinery and techniques required to handle natural disasters in accordance with the highest international standards.
The Jordanian relief delegation also includes specialized medical personnel from the Royal Medical Services, who will provide medical treatment and healthcare to those injured and affected by the earthquakes.
This participation comes under royal directives aimed at standing by countries and peoples affected by disasters and humanitarian crises, mitigating their impact, and supporting urgent international response efforts.
Jordan is also scheduled to dispatch a field hospital in the coming days to help treat the injured, wounded, and sick resulting from the earthquakes, alongside various medical and therapeutic supplies.
Two earthquakes measuring 7.5 and 7.2 in magnitude struck north of the capital, Caracas, on Wednesday.
Tom Fletcher, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, stated that the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), which he heads, has not yet estimated how high the death toll might reach.
