AMMAN – On Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan strongly denounced the installation of iron barriers by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) at three gates of the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, labeling it a dangerous and unacceptable move that hampers access to the holy site, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

Ambassador Sufyan Al-Qudah, the official spokesperson for the ministry, issued a stern warning against the ongoing efforts of Israeli authorities to control the entry of worshippers into Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif. Qudah stressed the necessity of ensuring unhindered and free access to the entire 144-dunam area of the mosque, underscoring its significance as a sacred place of worship for Muslims.

Furthermore, Qudah reiterated Jordan's stance that Israel holds no sovereignty over occupied East Jerusalem, hence lacking the authority to impose restrictions on worshippers entering Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif. He emphasized that the administration of the Jerusalem Waqf and Al-Aqsa Affairs Department, under the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, solely manages all affairs pertaining to Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, including entry regulations.

The spokesperson firmly declared that such provocative actions against Al-Aqsa Mosque constitute a blatant violation of international law and disrupt the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its sacred sites. He reiterated the call to the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and put an end to Israel's continuous violations of international law.
