Minister of Government Communication and official government spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Momani, affirmed on Saturday that Jordan will not be a party to any regional escalation, stressing that the Kingdom is not involved in the ongoing regional conflict and will not allow anyone to violate its sovereignty.

In statements to Al-Mamlaka TV, Al-Momani said the Jordan Armed Forces are carrying out their duties to the fullest extent in protecting the country’s borders and safeguarding its security and stability, noting that Jordan is capable of dealing with various crises and challenges that may arise.
He called on the public to rely on official sources for information and to avoid rumors and misinformation, emphasizing that Jordan is taking all necessary measures to preserve national security and ensure the safety of its citizens.
Al-Momani reiterated that Jordan’s position centers on containing any escalation, stressing once again that the Kingdom will not be part of any regional escalation while its armed forces continue to perform their duties at the highest level.
He also underscored the importance of obtaining accurate information from credible official sources and warned against misleading reports, urging citizens to follow updates issued by official authorities.
The minister affirmed that Jordan does not wish to be part of the conflict and will not allow any violation of its airspace, stressing that the Kingdom will firmly defend its interests and sovereignty.
Al-Momani highlighted Arab solidarity among regional countries and expressed Jordan’s condemnation of any actions targeting the national security of Arab states, adding that no party benefits from prolonging the current crisis.
He noted that all official institutions are operating within their respective mandates, with the Jordan Armed Forces leading efforts to maintain national security and prevent any breach of Jordanian sovereignty.
Al-Momani revealed that Jordanian air defenses intercepted two missiles earlier in the day. He added that the Public Security Directorate and Civil Defense had issued public awareness instructions regarding emergency sirens and appropriate safety procedures in such situations.
He further pointed out that the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission called for continuous monitoring of air traffic movements, as regional developments may affect flights operated by some airlines. Travelers were advised to verify flight schedules before heading to airports.
The minister stressed that all Jordanian state institutions are handling regional developments with professionalism and responsibility, reaffirming the need to contain escalation while safeguarding Jordan’s sovereignty and national interests through all available means.
He renewed emphasis that the Arab Army is performing its duty at the highest level to confront any threat to Jordan’s security and its citizens, reiterating that Jordan is not part of the current conflict and does not seek to become involved.
“We will not allow anyone to violate our airspace. We will not allow anyone to threaten Jordan,” Al-Momani said.
He concluded by affirming that Jordan’s position remains firm in rejecting any attempt to target its sovereignty or airspace, noting that the Kingdom has successfully managed numerous crises in the past with professionalism and transparency, consistently providing citizens with accurate information through official media institutions.
