The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization on Thursday dispatched its ninth humanitarian aid convoy to the Republic of Lebanon in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the World Food Programme, and the UNRWA.
The convoy consists of 20 trucks that were prepared and dispatched as part of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support the Lebanese people and respond to the humanitarian needs of the most affected and vulnerable groups. The assistance aims to help ease living conditions and enhance public health and safety.
Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, Hussein Al-Shibli, said that the dispatch of the ninth convoy reflects Jordan’s continued humanitarian commitment to standing by its brothers and sisters during difficult circumstances. He noted that the organization continues to work in coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and international partners to ensure that aid reaches its intended beneficiaries based on actual needs on the ground.
The organization also expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the Syrian authorities for their significant efforts in facilitating the passage of this convoy and other humanitarian convoys that have been sent to Lebanon in recent weeks.
