JAF halts drug smuggling attempt

AMMAN — The Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF) reported that in coordination with military security services and the Anti-Narcotics Administration, they thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics coming from Syrian territory within the Eastern Military District's area of responsibility. The operation led to the killing of five smugglers, injuring four others, and confiscating substantial amounts of drugs, which were then turned over to the appropriate authorities.
