WASHINGTON —
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that US-Jordanian relations have expanded over more than seven
decades, emphasizing that the US will remain
committed to supporting Jordan on
its path toward further prosperity and stability under the leadership of His
Majesty King Abdullah, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

In a statement marking 75 years of diplomatic
relations between the US and Jordan, Blinken underscored that strengthening
security cooperation between the two countries, enhancing regional stability,
and sustaining humanitarian efforts have been cornerstones of bilateral
relations. Additionally, he highlighted efforts to enhance comprehensive
economic development, promote opportunities for women and youth, ensure
sustainable access to safe drinking water, and
boost trade relations.
Blinken said, "Our partnership has
thrived over the past 75 years due to the steadfast bonds between the peoples
of our two countries, as well as our leaders." He affirmed that "This
solid foundation will enable us to deepen the strategic partnership between our
countries in the future."
