During the visit, Major General Al-Huneiti was briefed by the brigade commander on operational, training, and logistical matters, as well as the level of combat readiness. The briefing also covered the brigade’s future plans, duties and missions, and measures taken to enhance performance and raise efficiency in line with the General Command’s directives on modernization and development.

Al-Huneiti stressed that combat readiness remains a top priority in light of the rapidly evolving challenges facing the region. He underscored the importance of continuing specialized training programs that refine skills and strengthen capabilities to deal with various traditional and non-traditional threats efficiently and effectively.

He also highlighted the need to maintain the highest levels of discipline and professionalism and to work in a spirit of teamwork, describing these principles as the key pillars for the success of any operational mission. He affirmed that improving performance and raising personnel efficiency is a consistent approach adopted by the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces to enhance its ability to carry out its duties under all circumstances.

In a related context, Al-Huneiti observed a field exercise that included a demonstration of the use of drones in operational missions and counter-drone measures within a simulated operational environment. Prior to the exercise, he was briefed on its objectives, implementation phases, planned operational scenarios, and the challenges posed by modern threats—particularly drones and counter-drone systems, which have become a central element in modern warfare.

The exercise included a series of scenarios simulating the detection of an attempted armed attack on security points using armored vehicles. The targets were detected and tracked by reconnaissance drones and subsequently neutralized by combat drones before reaching their intended objectives.

The drill also involved countering hostile drones using electronic jamming and control systems, reflecting the brigade personnel’s high level of competence and readiness, as well as their ability to detect threats and neutralize them efficiently with rapid response.

At the end of the visit, Al-Huneiti met with officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the brigade, conveying to them the greetings, confidence, and pride of His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces. He commended their high morale and strong sense of loyalty and belonging to the leadership and the nation, affirming that the Armed Forces will continue their path of modernization and development to ensure the protection of the homeland and safeguard its capabilities.

A number of senior officers from the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army attended the visit.
