The session came within the meetings of the Paris 9th Conference, organized by the French Ministry of Treasury with the support of the G20 meetings, which are chaired by Indonesia this year.

Addressing the panel discussion, Ississ said, "The citizen is the one who is directly affected by the repercussions of economic crises such as the Covid-19 pandemic and the impacts of the Russian-Ukrainian war on food and fuel prices globally, and therefore countries must draw up policies that address the deficiencies, to ease the burdens of these crises on citizens."

Jordan has implemented a number of structural reforms aimed at protecting financial and economic stability and promoting growth to create job opportunities, Issia noted.

Ississ indicated," The government's program for financial and economic reform, in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is on the right track, as the government was able, in its program, to achieve a more fair tax system. It does not raise the tax burden on the citizen, but focuses on enhancing revenues by combating tax and customs evasion without imposing new taxes or fees or raising current taxes and fees."

He pointed out that such reforms and efforts reflected positively on investor confidence and Jordan's ability to issue sovereign bonds when other countries could not obtain financing.
