FM, New Zealand Defense Minister talk ties, regional and international developments

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, on Thursday discussed with New Zealand Defense Minister, Peeni Henare, bilateral relations and the latest regional and international developments, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

Safadi pointed to the importance of the friendly Jordan-New Zealand relations, which are witnessing development in all fields.

For his part, Henare affirmed his country's keenness to enhance cooperation with Jordan, hailing His Majesty King Abdullah II's efforts to overcome the region's challenges and crises and establish security and stability.

The two sides also reviewed regional developments, foremost is the Palestinian cause, efforts to resolve crises and cooperation in the fight against terrorism, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

Safadi and Henare stressed continued cooperation and coordination between the two countries within framework of Aqaba Meetings initiative, and called on strengthening partnership with "Christchurch Call," aimed to combat terrorism and extremist ideology.
