FM, Kosovo's counterpart, discusses ties, latest regional developments

AMMAN — On Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi received a phone call from Kosovo's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Donika Gervalla-Schwarz, during which they discussed bilateral ties and the latest developments in the Middle East region, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان
 
The two top diplomats stressed their keenness to continue joint action to enhance bilateral ties bringing Amman and Pristina together.
 
During the phone call, the two sides discussed the excreted efforts to restore calm at Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif.
 
Respecting the historical and legal status quo is the only way to restore calm in the holy city, Safadi said, stressing the necessity of practicing intense and real efforts to advance towards achieving a just peace on the basis of the two-state solution.
 
The two ministers also discussed the situation in the Balkans, stressing the need for concerted efforts to ensure security and stability in this vital region of the world.
